ARTIST
PRINTMAKER
I am an artist and printmaker living and working on Waiheke Island, where the tide, the light, and the silence between things all find their way into my work.
Most of my work tries to capture the human figure, not for its shape alone, but for its capacity to hold the whole spectrum of what it means to be alive. I am drawn to those in-between moments: a passing glance, the shadow of a memory, the quiet ache beneath a smile. These are the fragments that reveal us, that speak when words cannot.
Through monotype printmaking, I search for what lies beneath the surface. The press becomes a place of discovery, of texture, contrast, and the moods that flicker and shift when we are most unguarded. There is beauty in that vulnerability. It’s where the truth lives.
Each piece I create is a small attempt to hold the fragile and the fleeting, to honour both the sorrow and the sweetness that make us human.
